Privacy Policy
- We host your email. We store your messages so you can read them. We do not read them or sell them.
- We do not run ads, use ad trackers, or share your information for advertising.
- We keep technical logs to run and protect the service. They are kept for a limited time.
- You can export your mail with any mail app, ask us to correct or delete your information, and close your account.
- GigMail is for adults (18 and older).
1. Who we are
GigMail is operated by myGIGlife INC. DBA GigMail, 813 Oak St, Ste 10 - 1190, Conway, AR 72032 ("GigMail", "we", "us"). Contact: support@gigmail.email.
2. What we collect
| Information | Why we have it |
|---|---|
| Account details: your email address, your name if you give it, and your password (stored in protected form, not as plain text) | To create and secure your account and let you sign in |
| Your mail: messages, attachments, folders, contacts and calendars you store with us | To store, deliver and show you your mail. We do not read it. |
| Connection and security logs: IP address, time, the service used (for example IMAP or webmail), and whether a sign-in worked | To run the service, find problems, block abuse and break-in attempts |
| Spam and security signals: automatic scores and message traits used to sort spam and phishing, and your Junk and Not Junk choices | To keep spam and phishing out of your inbox. This is done by software. |
| Messages you send to support | To answer you and improve the service |
We do not collect your location, contacts from your phone, or advertising identifiers. If we offer paid plans, a payment processor handles your card details and we do not store full card numbers.
3. How we use it
We use your information to provide and secure the service, deliver and filter mail, answer support requests, prevent abuse and fraud, meet legal duties, and fix and improve GigMail. We do not use your messages to train advertising or AI products, and we do not use them for any other purpose.
4. Who we share it with
- Other mail systems. When you send a message, it goes to the recipient's mail provider. When you receive one, it comes from theirs.
- Service providers that help us run GigMail. Our servers are rented from OVHcloud in the United States. Our domain name (DNS) records are managed by Cloudflare; they hold DNS records, not your mail. Let's Encrypt issues our security certificates and sees domain names only. They may handle your information only to provide these services to us.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by valid legal process, or when needed to protect people or the service from serious harm. If the law allows, we tell you first.
- Business changes. If GigMail is sold or merged, your information may transfer to the new owner, who must honor this policy.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not do targeted advertising.
5. Cookies
Webmail uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect your session. We use no advertising or analytics cookies. Because we do not track you across websites, there is nothing to opt out of. We treat browser signals such as Global Privacy Control as an opt-out request anyway.
6. How long we keep information
- Your mail: until you delete it. Messages in Trash are removed automatically after 30 days. Deleted messages are removed from the live system.
- Backups: we keep rolling backups for disaster recovery. Deleted mail ages out of backups within about 8 weeks.
- Logs: kept for a limited time and rotated out automatically.
- Closed accounts: we keep the mailbox for 30 days so you can recover it, then delete it. Backups follow the 8-week schedule above.
- Support messages: kept while needed to help you, then deleted.
7. Security
We protect your information with encrypted connections (TLS) for mail and webmail, spam and phishing filtering, automatic blocking of repeated failed sign-ins, email authentication (SPF, DKIM and DMARC) for our domains, regular software updates, and limited staff access. No service is perfectly secure, so use a strong, unique password. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and any government agency as the law requires, including the Arkansas Personal Information Protection Act.
8. Your choices
You can read, export, correct or delete your mail at any time with any mail app or webmail. You can also ask us to give you a copy of your account information, correct it, or delete your account. Email support@gigmail.email from your account address. We may need to confirm it is you. We aim to respond within 45 days. Some information we must keep to meet legal duties or to protect the service, and we will tell you if we cannot delete something.
9. Children
GigMail is for people 18 and older. It is not directed to children or teens, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we will close it. A parent or guardian, or a teen, can contact us to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to have it deleted.
10. Arkansas residents and other states
We follow the Arkansas laws that apply to us, including the Arkansas Personal Information Protection Act and the Arkansas Children and Teens' Online Privacy Protection Act. Residents of other states may have additional rights under their own laws. Email us and we will honor valid requests as the law requires.
11. Changes to this policy
If we make a material change, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. The date and version at the top will change, and the history is below.
